Sea Glass Jewelery Artist

Nancy Allen has collected sea glass in the Monterey/Seaside area for many years, and we are fortunate to have her jewelery in our cabinets at Island Home and Garden. There are earrings and necklaces in shades of green, cobalt blue, and turquoise (all set in sterling silver) and Nancy’s latest designs include some pearls and abalone with the sea glass. Coconut Grove 2014 Bridal Show

The tropical flowers of Island Home and Garden are once again featured at the 2014 Bridal Show held at the Coconut Grove in Santa Cruz on Sunday, February 26th. They are on display at the Annieglass Booth in two beautiful glass dishes supplied by Annie Morhauser for the occasion. Robyn chose whites and soft purples for the color scheme to complement the misty glass and was able to use a beautiful spotted aranda orchid along with white and green anthirriums, freesia, white, green and purple orchids, siberian lilies and interesting foliage. For all the brides-to-be visiting the show who have a tropical theme planned, or are thinking of a beach wedding, we encourage you to visit Island Home and Garden and see the selection of colorful blooms which arrive weekly from Hawaii and Thailand. New Year Whimsy!

Island Home and Garden is now carrying the creations of Beth Allison Gripenstraw, a talented Santa Cruz artist who uses different media to produce bright, whimsical merchandise.  We have a selection of ceramic earrings – mainly tropical fish – in brightly glazed colors (all different) and tableware.  The ‘treasure jars’ and platters feature turtles and tropical flowers, again glazed with Beth’s signature vivid colors. Her newest line of ceramics are sea urchins with detailed markings in pastel hues. We are pleased to be the first store in Santa Cruz to carry her latest design!
